First stakeholder meeting of the TRivers project

Presentation of TREHS: a new tool for the management of temporary rivers

ReunioValencia2On 27th January 2015 will take place the first stakeholders meeting at the Júcar River Basin authority central office (Valencia, Spain), organized by the LIFE+ TRivers project team.

This meeting aims to seek views of stakeholders and experts involved in the elaboration of River Basin Management Plans (RBMP's), giving special attention to temporary rivers, and will be focused on:

- Presentation of the software tool TREHS (Temporary Rivers' Ecological and Hydrological Status), developed by TRivers.

- Identification of potential temporary rivers from different Mediterranean River Basins where the proposed tool could be tested.

- Establishment of a TREHS community users for the integration of temporary rivers into the RBMP's.
